The importance of seeing yourself on screen.

Representation is a concept we're getting more and more familiar with. As the world evolves so does the films and the stories we see on screen, sometimes we don't realize the importance of seeing someone who looks like you and how impacting it can be. As you read the history and the success of these hispanic women below keep in mind that they paved the way for young hispanic girls to finally see themselves on the big screen. The majority of the time young women are convinced at a young age that they are destined to be nothing but housewives and mothers (which is not bad, if that's what you want then go you!) These women below fought against that stigma and they became so much more, many of them achieved so much. These hispanic actresses wether they're from old Hollywood or Modern day Hollywood, they all shows us that we can become so much more.
